アメリカの音楽大学 Musicians Instituteの前身のギター学校「Guitar Institute of Technology」の創設者であり、数多くの名盤セッションに参加してきたレッキングクルーでもお馴染みの再評価すべきギタリスト、ハワードロバーツ。
本作は、1956年~59年の間にサイドメンとしての参加した未CD化作品から中心に収録。ドラマーBert Dahlanderの1958年リーダー作「Skal」（恐らく未CD化or廃盤）から8曲、ピアニストJohn TownerのKappレーベルに残した「John Towner Touch」（恐らく未CD化or廃盤）から4曲、オムニバス「Modern Jazz Gallery」（恐らく未CD化or廃盤）からJohn Towner Quartetの演奏を(3)曲、そして自身の初期盤「Good Pickin’s」から4曲収録。殆どの演奏は、CDでは聴けなかったレア音源ばかりなので、ロバーツ・ファンとしては嬉しい限り。
