本作は「JAZZLINE」レーベルからの2018年新作。60年代〜70年代のポップチューンを素材にハードバップの語法で演奏していくという方向性。まさに、古き良き時代の60年代〜70年代のソウルジャズギター名盤を彷彿とさせる内容で、後期グラントグリーン、ジョージベンソン、ブーガルージョージョーンズ、オドネルリーヴィー辺りが、メロウでソウルフル且つジャズファンク・テイストなアレンジでポップス名曲カバーを披露していた、あの感じ？、に近いと言えば判りやすいだろうか。ビートルズの「Come Together」「While My Guitar Gently Weeps」、ボビージェントリーの「Ode To Billie Joe」、アイズレーブラザースでお馴染み「Summer Breeze」、スティービーワンダーの「I Can’t Help It」、デビッドゲイツの「The Guitar Man」等収録。プロデュースはスティーヴジョーダン。
