イタリア出身のクラシック〜ジャズ作曲家兼ギタリストのカルロ・ドメニコーニ。1966年から西ベルリンのベルリン音楽大学で作曲を学び、その後20年間同大学で教壇に立ち、イスタンブルの音楽院でギターを教えている。1985年の代表作「コユンババ」はトルコ民謡の影響がかいま見れる。
