本作は、同郷の盟友モンティアレキサンダーと組んだ2004年作品。自国のアイデンティティをジャズに融合した、どこまでも明るくアッケラカンとした楽しい名作。本当の意味での、黒さとはこういうことだ、と改めて気づかされる作品であり、ジャズの本来あるべき姿はこうなんだと、改めて教えられる作品でもある。
