1927年ベルギー生まれ、ヨーロッパ最高のジャズギタリスト、ルネトーマ。彼はジミーレイニーから強い影響を受けていて、メロディー、フレーズアイディア、ハーモニー、どれをとってもセンス抜群の演奏能力。本作はその彼の1954年録音の激レア10インチ「And His Orchestra」とPolydorに残した「Modern Group」のEP２枚分が収録されている。レコードでは滅多に市場に出ない激レア盤となっている。
